I feel better, my jeans are looser & I look better
BUT I haven’t lost weight?
I’ve heard this hundreds of times and I just want to tell you you’re probably doing a lot better than you think you are!
Unfortunately in society today we get too hung up on weight, it’s what we are lead to believe we need to lose
But what if you achieved the shape and physique you always wanted! You managed to fit in the pair of jeans or dress size you’ve been try to get into for months if not years! But guess what? You weigh the same!
Would you consider that a failure?
NO! Of course not!
What’s probably happened is you have lost body fat and gained some muscle.
Which is GREAT right?!
Because muscle is denser than fat if you had the same amount in size the muscle would weigh more than the fat.
But because most people have not been explained this they unfortunately believe they aren’t achieving their goals and stop exercising and go back to the same lifestyle that made them start exercising in the first place.
So instead of getting too fixated on weight take measurements for example waist size, hip size, thigh sizes and arm sizes so you can see if you are losing body fat or if you have access to a bioelectrical impedance scanner then even better use one of these.
Just think you’ve probably converted the weight into something much better.
So like I said before you’re probably doing a lot better than you think. If you feel like your progressing 9 times out of 10 it means you are, just stick with it and be consistent.
